Boiler Pressure Gauge Graduation. It is recommended that that the total scale for the Boiler Pressure Gauge shall be so chosen that the operating pressure is between 40% and 75% of the scale range. It is also recommended that the dials should be marked with a red line at the operating pressure and a further line in purple at the maximum permissible working pressure. Note that gauges used on a steam boiler must be protected against over-heating by the use of an efficient syphon. Chanter Biomed stock a range of suitable syphons.
